I went to the public library

And looked for the Bible

To my surprise

There was more than one version

2

My mind was mocking me

Why? I cried out.

Which to believe?

3

Mathew, Mark, and Luke did not know Jesus

Their words are hearsay

My God I cry by day and you do not answer

4

Am I therefore a worm?

Do you mock me?

Though like them I suckled my mother's breast

5

Where are you, my Lord?

Which story to believe?

I am left only to rend my garments.

6

You who fear the Lord give praise?
