Are you saying that some are interpreting religion to mean it is okay to abuse children? Are you saying people who disrespect religion are abusing children?

If so, I don't think either one of those are true. Clergy use religion to access child victims and as a shield to hide their abuse. They also use it as a club to intimidate those being abused. Religion is the vehicle that allows them to carry out their abuse.

Religious misinterpretation and respect have nothing to do with sexual abuse.
