But emotional intelligence may not all it's cracked up to be. Recent research indicates that those who have great emotional intelligence are not only more sensitive of their own and others' emotions, but also more able to manipulate the emotions of others toward their selfish needs.

I am hard pressed to think of anyone more equipped to use emotional manipulation better than religious apologists.
