I was in charge of desegregation planning for the State of Michigan in the 1960's, and I can tell you there were just as many Black parents angry about not being allowed to send their kids to neighborhood schools as there were whites.

This in no way negates that Allison said about racism. But it does broaden the perception on school desegregation.
