I only ran all-male prisons but talked with many lady wardens who ran prisons for women that had sex offender services, and community-based sex offender service providers to women offenders.

They told me the general profile of a female sex offender, like their male counterparts, was white, middle-aged, and middle class.

Older babysitters and child-care workers highly represent female sex offenders, as do stepmothers (I guess there is some basis for the fairy tails about wicked stepmothers). Their preferred target victims are young boys and ...are you ready for this?...large animals.

Historically, women have been co-conspirators to male sex offenders, often acting as a victim procurer for male offenders. However, more recently women have sexually assaulted their own victims.

Other than that, I know little more about female sex offenders.
